Bill Davis

Drums - Back Vocals
Bill began playing drums at the age of 7. He was introduced to music at an early age through his Father who played his big band LPs by such greats as Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Benny Goodman, and more. His love for music has never stopped growing. Though he didn’t get a real kit until he was 15, Bill played in Beginning Band in school at the age of 10 and played in Marching Band all the way through high school.
It was at the age of 12 in a church in Kentucky where he had an encounter with God and gave his life to Christ. Unfortunately, drums were not played in the Southern Baptist church where he grew up so he followed his passion for drums anywhere he could – mostly in bars and clubs where his skills were welcomed by musicians far older and with much more experience. In fact, his abilities had progressed enough that he was allowed to play despite he was under the legal age.
While Bill was pursuing his love for music, this path led him to turn away from the One that touched his life at such an early age. It wasn’t long before he found himself at the point of no return; it was in this place of brokenness that he finally realized that God had a different destiny for him, one where his love for drumming and Christ could come together. Since rededicating his life to Jesus, the rhythms Bill played in the night club scene have been transformed into the heart beat of worship in church bands for the last 20 years.
Now Bill believes it is time to use his talents to touch those that have yet to experience the redemption he has found and if you ask him he will tell you – “My vision is to reach the lost and hurting with the love of Christ outside the walls of a church building.” Bill is now fulfilling that vision with Highway 358 and hopes you will listen and hear the love of Christ in their music and his drumming.
